Sheep sheltering from the intense summer heat

This flock of sheep at Silchester were struggling with the 30+ degree heat this August and as such taking as much shade as they could under this gnarly old tree. The long grass of the meadow, brittle and dry. The Roman wall of Silchester can just be seen in the background.
